It has been in operation since 2019. It is located in a tiny premises situated between Reszel’s medieval castle and the market square. The gallery is furnished with furniture and sculptures by Andrzej Haręza, and houses my paintings and drawings, as well as works by several artists with whom I collaborate: prints by Joanna Wiszniewska-Domańska, jewelry by Joanna Tofiło and individual works by other artists.
The Gallery’s flagship product is a series of numbered prints I made based on old lithographs from 1833 depicting views characteristic of Reszel: a bridge, castle and church. These prints have the character of a noble souvenir of Reszel.
At the Gallery, I teach drawing and painting classes to prepare for exams for art majors.
The whole thing is completely independent and authorial. In 2021, for my gallery activities, I was awarded the title of Woman of Success of Warmia and Mazury – this reinforces my belief in the legitimacy of this difficult undertaking and obliges me to realize new dreams.
So far, I have organized individual exhibitions of Jolanta Rejs (graphic designer) and Maciej Marschall (sculptor), as well as a group exhibition of works by children from the Elementary School in Reszel, as part of the Very Young Culture project, financed by the National Cultural Center. The children presented works they had made during art workshops led by the aforementioned Jola and Maciej and Lukasz Zedlewski (painter). The exhibition, whose participants and organizers were the children, was also attended by the artists leading the workshops.
